Following the passing away of former club president Arnie Jenkins last year, the family will be scattering his ashes at Siviers Memorial Garden at 1pm on Sunday 27th September.
The following is merely our opinion based on Government advice and has no legal standing, but latest government guidance with regards to COVID-19 for funerals suggests that memorial services, as a belief based lifecycle event, may be held in line with the guidance on Staying alert and safe (social distancing). That interpretation would allow up to 30 people in a public space for the ceremony, in groups of up to 6 but with no mingling of groups, and no more than 6 for any subsequent activities. With this in mind, and asking people to act responsibly, the family have said that anyone who wants to attend the garden to observe will be welcome but please check the guidance and only do what you believe to be both safe and legal in current circumstances.
